Colors of Provence

I’m a little bit behind in dealing with my trip photos, four or five years or so…
But I’ve finally started to work on them, and here is the first result, a selection of photos from our October 2005 and May 2007 trips to Provence.
These aren’t travelog photos showing the main tourist attractions, but just images I love for their color, texture or something that transports me back to Provence.

Chris, your photos are gorgeous!! The good thing about being far behind is that you can now post them as Feb entries – should make the blog every day thing much easier!
Chris, I just loved these photos, especially the mix of autumn and spring in the same show. You did a great job of capturing so many small details… and colors. It was good to be transported to Provence on a snowy February day. I especially loved that you started and ended with poppies!

Sorry I didn’t answer sooner, but I’m not getting email notifications so I didn’t know your comment was here.
I think you will want a car. So much of the beauty of Provence is out in the countryside it would be a shame to limit yourself to larger towns. We’ve been there once in October (see photos with fall color in the vines, taken in October) and the weather was a little misty and cool sometimes, but still lovely. The message board at http://www.slowtalk.com is a very good place to look for more information about Provence.
Hi Chris, looks like you had lots of fun in Provence.
We are planning to go to Provence for our honeymoon and wanted to ask for some recommendations and other information, if possible.. Do you need a car to travel? We are planning to go in October. How’s the weather?
