We have a guy here in NC who builds these enormous metal whirlygigs out of scrap metal. Dave Lane's work is very cool and beautiful. It would fit right in at the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore (a branch of the Smithsonian dedicated to this type of art). Great post! I love art like this.
