Love that still lake photo! Hmmm... I've been thinking of going on a roadtrip during my furlough week in August. Originally thought I'd head up to Crater Lake (via Ashland, including a meal at KOBE ... Surprise ;) ), but now I might head east instead of north. Must get maps and AAA book and get serious about planning something!

Great blog, Chris! Love all of your photos and insight into the places that you've been. I'm also an avid gardener, but a much different zone here in North Carolina... with deer!

The veggies and the nature photos are fabulous, Chris. You always do a nice job with your pics. I THOUGHT you guys were gone for a few days.

Amazing photos Chris! I don't doubt that the size of the tree intimidated the little guy - I have experienced that feeling myself next to one of those giants.

We haven't done that drive but will need to upon a return trip to CA!

Beautiful photos Chris. I really like the first one with the peaceful reflection and the last one with the beautiful green meadow overshadowed by the giant. I also love the drive down 49 especially after Mariposa. It seems to get less traffic.
